New Provideam service pack adds Firefox support

The latest Provideam service pack featuring support for Firefox browsers has just been released. Regular releases of service packs ensure that Provideam manufacturing productivity software continues to work smoothly, effectively and securely. It also means customers benefit from technical innovations as they are developed.
Firefox is now favoured by around 20% of web users, and among technical professionals that figure is even higher. The new Firefox support makes Provideam software more convenient and easy to use than ever. Further service packs – and technical innovations – are expected to follow later in 2009.

| Clear Demo Data | New Feature | A new tool has been included with the demo installation which allows you to clear the demo data from the Provideam database. This can facilitate the conversion of the Provideam Demo to a Trial version capable of monitoring your actual production machines. |
| Demo Application | Enhancement | The Demo Application has been enhanced to demonstrate the ability of Provideam to monitor Lot, Part and Tool data directly from a Machine via an OPC server. |
| Mode Log Report | New Feature | A new reporting option to generate a log of Machine Modes (Downtimes) has been included in the Report Wizard |
| List Management | Enhancement | The UI (user interface) has been improved to facilitate better navigation of long lists. For example it is now possible to select page 10 in the list rather then having to index through the list. |
| Improved UI Data Management | Enhancement | The UI has been improved to better manage the handling of data such that data is only loaded when and if it is required. |
| Dictionary | Bug Fixes | Text items which were not included in the Dictionary have now been included as part of this update. |
